When do I have to RSVP?
Please RSVP and sign up for childcare/field trips/shuttles no later than JULY 1, 2024. After that, we can unfortunately not guarantee capacity for events and activities.
How do I get to Wolfville?
Please see the "Getting Here" section for transportation details.
Have you reserved blocks of rooms somewhere?
We have not reserved blocks of rooms for guest accommodations, namely because there isn't a hotel big enough in Wolfville for us to do that! Please see the "WHERE TO STAY" tab for more information on lodging.
What should I bring?
Well, the most important thing to bring is you! If you plan to go on a field trip, hiking and/or swimwear may prove useful.
What should I wear?
The dress code for the wedding and reception is semi-formal; think suit jackets with button down shirts, trousers, skirts with blouses, and short or long cocktail dresses. Ties are not required.
We are lucky enough to have a fantastic videographer who will be taking some aerial footage by drone. It's suggested (but by no means required!) that guests opt for light neutrals and pastels to ensure the most beautiful and cohesive footage. More importantly: please wear whatever makes you feel confident and comfortable!
Wolfville is typically sunny and hot in early August, with temperatures averaging around 25-28 degrees Celsius during the day and cooling down to 18-22 degrees Celsius once the sun goes down. We recommend packing a light sweater and/or a rain jacket in case of inclement weather.
How do I get to/from the wedding ceremony and reception?
Manning Memorial Chapel is on Acadia's campus, on the west side of downtown. Though there is limited paid parking available, we recommend walking if at all possible! There is no Uber in Wolfville, but a local taxi service, CJ's, is operational.
After the ceremony, we hope to walk the eight minutes from the chapel to the Wolfville Legion as a group. Refreshments will be provided before and after; if you have any concerns with respect to mobility or accessibility, please let us know, and we can make arrangements for your transportation.
Where do I park?
The nearest parking to the Manning Memorial Chapel is at the corner of Acadia Street and Highland Avenue, or at the Wolfville Baptist Church (487 Main Street). Parking at the Wolfville Legion is directly next door to the building at 282 Main Street. On Oak Avenue, street parking is available.
What's on the menu?
The reception meal will be pick-up style with no assigned seating. Food will be served from 5:30 to 7:30 PM, followed by a champagne toast and dessert. Three drink tickets will be provided for the meal hours, followed by an open bar beginning at 8:00 and lasting until midnight. We will provide a red meat option and a seafood option (or you can have a little of both!), as well as several side dishes, fresh green salad, and a hearty vegetarian salad. If you are vegan, gluten-free, or have any other allergies or dietary restrictions, please indicate so in your RSVP so we can accommodate you.
Do I have to go to each event?
Of course not! We would love to have you at each and every event, but if you want to take in a bit of sightseeing (or simply sleep in), that is A-OK.
Can I bring a plus one?
As much as we would love to have an open-door policy for our wedding and reception, we are unfortunately limited by our capacity and budget constraints. Please do not bring a plus one unless we have included your guest in the RSVP.
Am I allowed to bring my children?
We love you, and we love your children! Children are more than welcome to attend the Welcome Street Party, farmer's market, ceremony, reception, and Farewell Brunch. However, we would prefer you opt for our on-site childcare for the ceremony and reception to ensure everyone has the best time possible! Please note that the Cape Split hiking field trip may be too strenuous for children under ten.
Are the ceremony and reception venues wheelchair-accessible?
Both venues, as well as the Wolfville Farmer's Market, are wheelchair accessible, with close parking, ramps, and elevators for anyone with special mobility needs.
Am I allowed to take photos?
To ensure our photographers and videographer get the perfect shorts, please refrain from taking pictures during the ceremony and the first dance. Otherwise, you are welcome to use your phone for pictures/video. To protect the privacy of the children attending our wedding, please avoid their inclusion in photos/videos if possible.
I have more questions, who can I contact?
Please contact our wedding planner Roberta Micallef, of Love Nest Events, at roberta.micallef@lovenestevents.com if you have any questions or concerns!
